Do We Really Believe We Have Eternal Life?

"And whoever lives and believes in Me *shall never die*. Do you believe this?””John‬ ‭11:26‬ ‭‬‬ Do we really believe this? What would be our response if someone told us we will never die? Like physically.... And that we've been given the opportunity to live forever, being healthy, prosperous and victorious? -We would not be afraid anymore when they say there's a pandemic  -If there's a lion outside we won't worry 😄 -We would no longer be anxious about "what if something happens to me." -We would now have total freedom from fear, because all fear is rooted in the fear of death!  I think we underestimate what Jesus came to give us when he died on the cross. When the Bible says we as children of God now have eternal life, it's greater than we understand.  “Inasmuch then as the children have partaken of flesh and blood, He Himself likewise shared in the same, that through death He might destroy him who had the power of death, that is, the devil, *and r...

80 is the new 20

It's believed that Moses was 40 years old when he left Egypt in Exodus chapter 2. From there he lived another 40 years before God called him and sent him back as the deliverer of Israel from the yoke of the Egyptians.  "And Moses  was   eighty years old and  Aaron eighty-three years old when they spoke to Pharaoh. Exodus 7 vs 7" So at 80 years of age, Moses started his career. Much of the life of Moses that we know is when he was 80 years of age and up. Even Today For my fellow FIFMI family, did you know that when our father Apostle Dr. EH Guti enrolled in Bible School, he was almost 50 years of age? During that time, the church was still in its infancy, and all the great things that we now know God has done through him were difficult to imagine or speak of. But today,  even now at 97 years old , he's still running daily, making plans, winning souls, planting churches, and preaching the gospel. When the world says its time to retire, God's timeline says it's t...

Diaspora

Diaspora is not a new concept but began early in biblical times. When Israel had trouble, they would come down to Africa. During the famines in the days of Abraham, Jacob, Joseph, Africa was the land of refuge. Fast forward to Jesus:  When his life was under threat in Israel, God spoke to His parents to flee to the diaspora, and they were refugees in Africa until Herod died. Nowadays we as Africans are accustomed to taking refuge in other nations, but should never forget our potential. God used Africa to preserve the Seed that would bless the nations. I believe Africa will once again be a place of refuge for all the nations. May it surely come to pass, in Jesus name.

Discipline My Body

1st Corinthians 9:26-27 I need to discipline my body. I need to bring it to be subject to me. This means when the body doesn't want to do something, i overcome it and force it to do what it doesn't want. Amazing. If i have a life of doing things contrary to the desires of the body, that's when i excel. The body when left alone wants to leave responsibilities for "later", not move, work, and most of all to not pray. The recommendations of the body lead to hunger, failure, and troubles, but when i live contrary to the desires of the body i will be a great success

The Kingdom of God Spreading

"The parables of growth imply that the kingdom is already present, although they also express a future element of the Kingdom.   (Mt 13:24-53)" AMFCC Lectures - Kingdom of God (Page 2) Jesus likened the Kingdom of God to crops, trees, and plants.  The seed of the Kingdom is sown, and at the time of sowing, its so small and seems insignificant. For a long time people don't even notice it. In history, there was so much that was happening during the time of Christ, that you find history books full of other significant activity and events that occurred between 3BC and 33AD, making no mention of Jesus or the great things that we now know were taking during that time.  The kingdom then was like a seed sown in the ground. Only those with interest in the Kingdom knew that something great was brewing, while the rest of the world was treading unknowingly over the ground where the seed was sown, planning their lives, and doing business as usual. Jesus sowed the s...

A Covenant Must Not Be Broken - Joshua 9 vs 3 to 18

May there be a revival of the true fear of God, so that the sacredness of a spoken oath may be restored in our generation.  Today we say "a promise" in our modern language.  Same thing. Our generation just doesn't understand the seriousness of the offense in heaven's view when a covenant is broken.  The fact its, we need revival.  What was it that caused Joshua and the leaders of Israel to keep their word, even though they were deceived by the Gibeonites? They genuinely believed God was there. When i know that He is present, and that heaven makes a record of my words, i will fear to make a covenant, and do it with fear and trembling.  This kind of fear of God, oh how i want it!  May God help me.  Revive us oh Lord, to the genuineness that was found in your people in generations past.  Forgive us and help us. Joshua 9 vs 3 - 6 3 But when the inhabitants of Gibeon heard what Joshua had done to Jericho and Ai,4 they worked craftily, and went an...

Focus on Knowing God Instead

This morning after realizing all my imperfections i asked God, "What can i do to be better!  I don't want to keep failing, i want to be good."  Then the answer came so quickly...the Holy Spirit speaking clearly.  He said "Don't focus on yourself anymore.  That's how you fail.  Focus on knowing God." So simple.  If i spend my life making resolutions, i'm going nowhere forever.  But if i spend my life diligently seeking to know Him, it covers all my weaknesses.
