Diaspora is not a new concept but began early in biblical times. When Israel had trouble, they would come down to Africa. During the famines in the days of Abraham, Jacob, Joseph, Africa was the land of refuge. Fast forward to Jesus: When his life was under threat in Israel, God spoke to His parents to flee to the diaspora, and they were refugees in Africa until Herod died.
Nowadays we as Africans are accustomed to taking refuge in other nations, but should never forget our potential. God used Africa to preserve the Seed that would bless the nations. I believe Africa will once again be a place of refuge for all the nations. May it surely come to pass, in Jesus name.
